INVENTORY OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS (IHM)
Regulation (EU) No. 1257/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of November 20, 2013, regarding ship recycling, requires that ships of more than 500 GT, both with a Community flag and a non-Community flag that use anchorage European countries, must have on board an inventory of hazardous materials (IHM).
Compliance with the aforementioned regulations will be accredited with the possession of a Certificate or Declaration of Inventory of Hazardous Materials, depending on whether the ship operates with a Community flag or not. Depending on the traceability of the materials and the age of the ship, it may be necessary to carry out laboratory analyzes of certain samples. Likewise, the Certificate or Declaration must be issued by qualified personnel with specific training.
At F. Carceller we have trained qualified personnel for this purpose and we carry out the entire process until obtaining the Certificate, from taking samples to approval by the competent authority.
We have carried out, among others, the IHMs of:
• Navy Social Institute: Esperanza del Mar and Juan de la Cosa
• IEO: Ramón Margalef and Angeles Alvariño
• General Secretariat of Fisheries: Miguel Oliver and Vizconde de Eza
